Event information

You must be a member of the Chartered College of Teaching to register onto this event.

In this first of a series of consultations as part of our #FutureOfTeaching campaign, we invite you to share your views as part of UNESCO’s Futures of Education: Learning to Become initiative. The aim is to support a global debate on how knowledge and learning can shape the future of humanity and the planet. You can read more about it here.

UNESCO invites organisations and networks to engage in the global debate on the futures of education and provide inputs to the International Commission on the Futures of Education. The initiative will culminate in the publication of a report in November 2021.

At the Chartered College of Teaching, we believe that teachers’ views must be central to this debate, which is why we are organising this opportunity for you to share your vision and ideas.

Focus groups will be phase-specific and facilitated by trained staff members of the Chartered College of Teaching. Results from the discussions will be written up by our research team and submitted to UNESCO before the 15th October 2020.

As places are limited, we will be selecting a group of participants from those who register to ensure the consultation is as representative as possible of the teaching profession in terms of the phase taught, teaching experience, region, gender, etc. Selection will take place on 16th September and participants will be notified by 18th September. If you do not receive anything by this date, please assume you have not been selected on this occasion.

You will need to register by 16th September and be a member of the Chartered College of Teaching to be considered.

Please also keep an eye out for other opportunities to share your views on the #FutureOfTeaching throughout the year. You can also have a look at other ways in which you can contribute to UNESCO’s work here.
