About the Compassionate Leadership event

We are excited to invite you to this event, one of the first of its kind, exploring the power and potential of compassionate leadership in education.

If you are a school leader or MAT CEOs, interested in exploring how we can create more humane, compassionate and kind education systems, then we would love you to join us at this interactive, experiential event.

We will explore our own experience of compassionate leadership as well as learn from leaders in other sectors including Health and Social Care, Policing and Politics

The event will draw on the experience of participants and explore some of the following themes:

– Hearing from leaders in a range of sectors and professions who have cultivated compassionate leadership in their organisations, what this looks like, and the impact this had on themselves, their leadership and their organisation
– What is compassionate leadership – and what does it look like in action. Exploring how compassionate leadership is tackling some of our most complex and challenging problems and noting the lessons for education leaders.
– Busting the myths that compassionate leadership is soft and fluffy, being nice or making excuses for poor practice
– Making the case for compassionate leadership and investigating research on its impact in education, health, social care, business – including its impact on workload, wellbeing and happiness, recruitment and retention and organisational effectiveness.
