In this module, you will explore the systemic factors that affect the retention of global majority trainee teachers, including policy erasure, underrepresentation and racism. You will learn how to recognise and effectively respond to both overt and covert racism faced by trainees on school placements, and discover strategies for building a sense of belonging, empowerment and support. You will also have the opportunity to reflect on and audit your own approach, identifying areas of strength and growth.
