The second inquiry of the Teaching Commission is looking at how the profession can be engaged in developing and implementing the revised national curriculum so that the professionalism and agency of teachers can be strengthened. It will also seek to identify the resources needed to ensure the new curriculum is taught by teachers who are suitably prepared and qualified to fulfil the goals of the revised national curriculum.
This online roundtable will discuss the impact of commitments to diversity in the new National Curriculum on teachers, what we will need to ‘implement’ diversity commitments and how ready the sector is to meet diversity commitments. It will be hosted by Dr Lisa-Maria Müller (Associate Director – Research and Policy) and chaired by Yamina Bibi FCCT and member of the Teaching Commission. It will take place on Monday 9th March, 4-5pm.
Please complete this form by Thursday 5th March. We will be in touch about the outcome and joining instructions by Friday 6th March at the latest.
