Exploring why South Asian Heritage Month matters for schools across the workforce, pupils and wider school community
South Asian Heritage Month (1 July – 31 July) is a national month of recognition, but what does it mean for schools?
It is an opportunity to celebrate, reflect and connect.
This one hour webinar brings together educators and sector voices to explore why South Asian Heritage Month matters not only for pupils but for the teaching workforce and wider school communities.
This webinar will focus on:
- Celebrating the rich and diverse histories connected to South Asian heritage in the UK
- Recognising the experiences of South Asian staff and school communities
- Understanding how schools can meaningfully engage with this moment
- Reflecting on the role of school culture in creating inclusive environments
This session offers a space to step back, reflect and consider what meaningful engagement can look like in practice. This is not about adding more to busy workloads, but about recognising what is already part of our schools and communities.
