Recent efforts to curb the teacher retention crisis in the UK and elsewhere have focused on increasing the availability and uptake of ‘high-quality’ teacher CPD.
But is this ‘human capital’ approach sufficient, and what further conditions might need to be in place to enable teachers to implement their professional learning in their classrooms?
This free, open webinar for trust leaders will explore how multi-academy trusts can develop a learning culture across their schools which enables teachers and leaders to implement their learning in context, and drive greater teacher retention in the process.
We will be joined by:
- Prof Qing Gu, a leading researcher in the field of school leadership and CPD
- Sam Gibbs MCCT, Director of Education at Greater Manchester Education Trust
- Dr Lisa-Maria Muller, Head of Research and Policy at the Chartered College of Teaching
We will discuss the research on high-quality, effective CPD and how findings from this can be implemented trust-wide.
