Rethinking Curriculum – How can we ensure a curriculum nurtures wellbeing and belonging?

We know that wellbeing and belonging directly impact young people’s outcomes and sense of worth within schools, yet it is often forgotten or an afterthought to whole school curriculum design. In this session, hear from experts across the education sector around why they believe that this work must be a starting point and how you can implement changes in your school.

This webinar comes to you as part of the Rethinking Curriculum webinar series. The project aims to support and equip teachers and school leaders with the knowledge and skills to identify, plan and implement curriculum development work in a sustainable, creative and place-based approach. This will mean that all pupils will have access to an expansive, inspiring curriculum that connects them with local communities and enables them to lead healthy, fulfilled lives.

The session will be hosted by Beth O’Brien, Education Content Manager at Chartered College of Teaching.

We are delighted to be joined by:

  • Ali Durban MBE, Founder of The Single Project and Co-Founder of Gesher School.
  • Nadine Bernard FCCT, Founder of Aspiring Heads and Headteacher at Van Gogh Primary.
  • Andrew Moffatt MBE, Founder of No Outsiders Charity and Personal Development Lead at Excelsior Multi-Academy Trust.
