DOI: .org/10.1016/j.ijer.2021.101876.    Introduction A sense of belonging is an important part of children’s development of self-awareness and identity formation.  Belonging is linked to six theoretical perspectives -  Spatiality, Materiality, Multiplicity, Social Relations, Affect and Dislocation. Spatiality refers to an individual’s feeling of belonging in the place, the scale of which can vary, from the micro-level of the home to the feeling of belonging to a global community.
