Using a learning management system to reframe learning, agency and coherence in primary settings

Rather than positioning technology as an add-on, this approach has reframed Canvas as a pedagogical infrastructure – a shared space where curriculum, teaching practice and learner engagement intersect. This article focuses on the principles underpinning implementation, the pedagogical shifts observed and the implications for primary practice more broadly. The effective use of digital technology in primary education is not determined by the sophistication of the tools themselves, but by the clarity of pedagogical intent behind their use.
